Sadly, i have to begin with awkward apologies to those who ordered commissions from me. Unfortunately, i'll have to terminate all orders due to real life reasons. I didn't take any payment beforehand, so it's just a matter of me being rude and not keeping to the deal. Sorry everyone *bows in regret* 
I hope my early pre-mid life crisis will pass soon and all issues will find their resolution in a quite and productive way. I hope I'll be more active as a member of DA and an artist...one of these days.

Strangely, this year winter doesn't seem to rush in. Usually by this time we had snow and at least -5 C...but now it's raining and the temperature is +5 C. I find myself wishing for a little bit of snow because it'd be not as windy and chilly - right now this ugly weather gets right into your spine with each blow of the wind. Days are gloomy and gray. especially when you have to study from 10 to 10 and then some. Actually, studying is taking most of my free and sleeping time, so I've been feeling rather...exhausted and wind-up. For that reason things haven't been good in the health department (yeah, i guess you can't fool your own body, huh).  Still, some good stuff happened! First of all, finally, after practically a year, the Buck-Tick Fanbook is printed and ready to be sent to FT! Once i get my book, i'll post some yummy photos here, so, beloved BiTches, be sure to check your inbox because the book is so worth looking at (and i'm not saying it because i was a part of the project).
Also, PayPal is finally in Russia! Although some options are still unavailable for Russian users, being able to recieve money is a huge relief for all of us, because now we can work for real money with overseas commissions.
Meanwhile, my design classes are going more or less smoothly (at least, none of my works got rejected..phew). I'm flooded with information and hometasks, i have no days off, i'm behind with my dissertation ...but in a way things are as they should be. I hope to pass all the exams at both departments well enough to have peaceful holidays and a couple of days off to enjoy just sitting in my armchair reading books....and go to the movies to enjoy some Sherlock awesomness! (gosh, i'm so wainting for this one, i have a feeling that it'd be one of the best movie i've seen this year).

wow, I've been neglecting this journal for quite some time! Now it's autumn, although the weather is still rather mild. At the moment the sun is shining right through my window, making me almost WANT to go the university today. There are no particular news or art news for that matter. It's just studying and trying not to doze off on my way home. All the real work is ahead of me, so i have no right to whine
This summer i had bad luck my Intuous3. Unexpectedly, it broke down and i couldn't fix it because the guarantee had expired like two years ago. I had to replace it with Intuos4, although i would have bought Intuous3 again if i had a chance. Intuous4 is great looking with its sleek design but it's not the look you're going for when speaking of such things - it's the way it works and how comfortable it is. Maybe i'm still not used to it but i feel that the previous model was way better. Anyway, i have what i have and i'm happy that i managed to buy it after all. Of course, traditional drawing is great, but when one is so used to particular tools and method of working it's hard to switch. Drawing in my sketchbook (which is tragically almost empty) felt somehow void of the satisfaction and artistic full-fillment. I guess it's a matter of skill and habit. I've completely forgotten what it is to use the eraser and pencils...it's awkward However, it's always helpful to know that what you've leared via digital drawing applies also on paper.
btw, have you heard about Inkling by Wacom? Isn't it wicked?! I couldn't believe it when i saw the trailer. It'll come in handy for those who prefer to work on sketches and lineart on paper. And it's not as expensive as one could've thought. that's a real James Bond device!
Also, i had my Nomad brush for ipad delivered some time ago. I must sy it's way much better than a common stylus for  ipad but for me it's wierd if i can't use penpressure, i immediately get the impression that i'm working digitally. When i use a tablet and photoshop or sai i don't pay attention at the fact that i'm using a computer but with nomad brush it's different. I don't loose hope because i still have to try out Art Rage, which is told to be the best app for drawing on ipad, at least for sketches.

Okay, time for a journal update!
Now I'm officially an art student! I’m strangely overwhelmed by the fact, a little bit afraid (okay, I’m scared out of my pants) that I maybe not fit for all those artsy things and  my head is too full of academic stuff (languages do that to you, yeah). Now I have to spend my summer trying to ‘free my mind’…. So thumbs up for meditation  ^__^ Thank god, the weather is warm (or should I say – it’s hot like hell? ). Although I have to past another exam, I feel liberated and relaxed. It’s really a shame that I should start studying in a couple of days – it feels like a vacation already! T_T
Since the last journal not many things actually changed. But! Finally, the German language textbook featuring my illustration was published. I’ve been working on illustrations for this book for practically two years, so I was very happy to hold a solid copy in my hands. It maybe not as fancy, but for me it’s still amazing – I’ve never thought that one day I would have my works published…*__* And I’ll also be working on a web-site for this book (it’ll be dedicated to learning German, but I’ll try to make an eye-candy out of it).
Also, the Buck-Tick fanbook is almost THERE! and are bravely struggling to make it come to life I can’t wait to see it printed ^__^
Actually, as I look back at this year (you know, I always have this new year feeling when summer comes), I think that it was the best one in my life so far, I’ve met so many wonderful people, done so many wonderful things and learned even more wonderful things (I’m not speaking only about university but in general). I’ve become a bit more courageous and I’m ready to face all the difficulties ahead because they will certainly make me a better person.
Well, what else to say? I hope you have a nice summer, sweethearts!
