Description

know I’m late for the party but it took me ages to actually sit down and draw this. All i have to say about this (aside from that it’s a very sloppy and quickly coloured sketch) is that the flower i put here is called ‘anemone’ - in Christianity it symbolizes sorrow and death. If my brief research is accurate, the flower was often used in the Crucifixion depictions. I thought it would fit the general mood - both on the Ragnar’s side (the sorrow part at least) and Athelstan’s (death and the Crucifixion connection). Also, the bulrush in Athelstan's hands symbolizes the purity of faith.
